US Basketball Amsterdam wins again 08/01/2012 The women team of US Basketball started the seconde part of the competition in their new STAR by GL outfits! Because of good coaching of Martin Hoekstra the team did not have any difficulty with the defense of oponent Almonte. Earlier this seaons US lost against Almonte (65-59), but this time US was much stronger and concluded the game with 76-61! As last sunday the team won the sixth game in a row, they are now on the top of the clasific together with the Cangeroes, Amasone and Almonte. Our new Italian client Basket Showtime Calderara (near Bologna) choose STAR by GL outfits. One of the team members sent us a nice team picture and an article about this special men team! Underneath the short version. SHOW-TIME ! Do you want some spectaculair basketball! The club was founded in 1999 by a group of friends for Calderara di Reno (near Bologna/Italy) As player we were a bit abbandoned by the local basketball club, but our love for this game continued! As players we starte our own adventure and created 'Showtime!'. The team, in the meantime, has created an important position in the Bolognain competition (1st division, promotion division). Each year new players joined the team and reinforce it. Because of this we become stronger and made it to the play-ofss in 2002. Also in 2006 we played the play-offs, and this time we won a 'ticket' for the promotion division. The year 2008-2009 was a bit tough as some players left, but luckely we were able to attract new players in 2010-2011 and maintain our position in the promotion division. Our team, made out of friends, is playing for fun and completely economically independent. We are going very well again! The women of the Dutch CTO team just started their last stadium of the stage period in Spain. After several won games in Malaga and Sevilla, they had a tougher game in Barcelona. Also this is part of a trainings stage. Last Wednesday the women team lost against the young talents Under 18 of Barcelona with 50-51. The CTO girls played very well for as far as their defence but the attack did not go that well this time. Out the six games played so far they won four! A great result we think. CTO Amsterdam Woman Basketball CTO Amsterdam Women's Basketball, a unique full-time basketball program for players who have the ambition to make the most of their talent and also get a regular study, is running the second season in their history. Talented players who want to reach the highest development in this basketball program to make further steps in a professional basketball career. Besides full-time training CTO Amsterdam Woman Basketball also plays this season for the first time in the highest division in the Netherlands. Cooperation The individual sports performance within the 20-hour program of the high performance stands on the first place, but the presentation of the players and the team to his partners and the public is also important. With this in mind, last summer they realized a unique cooperation between CTO Amsterdam Women's Basketball and STAR By GL. CTO Amsterdam Women's Basketball plays this season in their own designed uniform. Last summer, in consultation with the specialists of STAR By GL and the players of CTO Amsterdam Women's Basketball they designed a full clothing line. The players have been a few months active in designing clothing and transmit their opinions and views to the specialists of Star By GL. The outcome of this process is a very satisfying result in which the players of CTO recognize their own desires in the uniform. Als this year the collaboration between the men of Soave Basket and STAR by GL continues! The men team takes part in the Promotion Division and is still very satisfied about the clothing of STAR by GL. The entire team is working hard for reaching the play-offs and make it till the D-series. We wish them a great season and will cheer them into the D-series!

  GIESSE BASKET 2010 - Bologna - Cat. I Divisione FIP   Our club was founded last summer (2010) by our group of friends. We used to play together years ago and played at that time in a striped game outfit. Now that we got back together we have decided to keep the same vertical stripes as a memory. Friesland Aris had great difficulties to defeat the young players from Rotterdam. Although other games were maybe less dynamic, we now that they have the right ingredients to fight strongly against Weert.  One thing is for sure: a lot of youth will be present to cheer for the players of Rotterdam until the end of the battle!
