US Basketball Amsterdam wins again

The women team of US Basketball started the seconde part of the competition in their new STAR by GL outfits! Because of good coaching of Martin Hoekstra the team did not have any difficulty with the defense of oponent Almonte. Earlier this seaons US lost against Almonte (65-59), but this time US was much stronger and concluded the game with 76-61!
As last sunday the team won the sixth game in a row, they are now on the top of the clasific together with the Cangeroes, Amasone and Almonte.

Basketball Unites wanted to put the NBB ambassadors in the 'spotlight' during the NBB cup finals Basketball. The ambassadors are doing a great job and are stimulating basketball among a large group of athletes. Besides Mike Nahar, who is starting his third year as a BU-ambassador, we also would like to present the new ambassadors Cees van Rootselaar, Jeanine Tjin-A-Sioe, Paul Toes, Wendy van der Wal en Henk Pieterse. This great group is promoting basketball by clinics and 'motivational speeches. Important aspects during these projects are: sport mentality, team work and respect.

STAR by GL, a new sportsmark on the Dutch market, designed last summer in cooperation with the Women's Basketball players of CTO Amsterdam new uniforms for their team. "There are already enough standard outfits, but a self-designed uniform is really distinctive and attracts all the attention" said STAR by GL.
CTO Amsterdam Woman Basketball
CTO Amsterdam Women's Basketball, a unique full-time basketball program for players who have the ambition to make the most of their talent and also get a regular study, is running the second season in their history. Talented players who want to reach the highest development in this basketball program to make further steps in a professional basketball career. Besides full-time training CTO Amsterdam Woman Basketball also plays this season for the first time in the highest division in the Netherlands.
Cooperation
The individual sports performance within the 20-hour program of the high performance stands on the first place, but the presentation of the players and the team to his partners and the public is also important. With this in mind, last summer they realized a unique cooperation between CTO Amsterdam Women's Basketball and STAR By GL. CTO Amsterdam Women's Basketball plays this season in their own designed uniform.
Last summer, in consultation with the specialists of STAR By GL and the players of CTO Amsterdam Women's Basketball they designed a full clothing line. The players have been a few months active in designing clothing and transmit their opinions and views to the specialists of Star By GL. The outcome of this process is a very satisfying result in which the players of CTO recognize their own desires in the uniform.
Clothing
Besides the unique uniforms that are designed with the players there is a complete clothing line for the players realized. This clothing line is in the same style as the uniform and ensures that the players are not only looking professional on the court, but also off the court! This has a huge positive impact on the image of the Dutch national talent team.

Als this year the collaboration between the men of Soave Basket and STAR by GL continues! The men team takes part in the Promotion Division and is still very satisfied about the clothing of STAR by GL. The entire team is working hard for reaching the play-offs and make it till the D-series. We wish them a great season and will cheer them into the D-series!
The strong women team of Binnenland Barendrecht, playing in the highest division in Holland, was presented on television last week. Challengers are getting closer to a win. They played an exciting game against Friesland Aris. Friesland Aris had great difficulties to defeat the young players from Rotterdam. Although other games were maybe less dynamic, we now that they have the right ingredients to fight strongly against Weert. One thing is for sure: a lot of youth will be present to cheer for the players of Rotterdam until the end of the battle!

The Under 16 women team of Zevio Volley choose STAR by GL. The white basis of the game shirt with the red and blu lines give a sporty but at the same time elegant look. 2008-2009 Was the first season in which the Zevio-girls took seriously part in the regional championship Under 16.
